Philipp Rode

Prof. Rode is Executive Director of the Urban Age Programme and Associate of the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics. As researcher and consultant, he is involved in interdisciplinary projects comprising urban governance, transport, city planning and urban design. Prof. Rode co-convenes the LSE Cities Studio on ‘City Making: The Politics of Urban Form’ and frequently lectures at universities abroad. Prof. Rode organised Urban Age conferences in partnership with Deutsche Bank’s Alfred Herrhausen Society in New York, Shanghai, London, Mexico City, Johannesburg, Berlin, Mumbai and Sao Paulo, bringing together political leaders, city mayors, urban practitioners, private sector representatives and academic experts.
